Who we are
Established in 2014, the Sutton Schools Sport Partnership has evolved into a trusted support partner for local schools. Incorporating the School Games Organiser role, its ambitious vision,
‘For our community to make healthy choices so that they lead long, healthy & active lives’, encompasses every aspect of the subject from physical activity to getting enough sleep. We believe that physical and mental health are intrinsically linked and promote that message throughout every engagement with schools.
We believe that collaboration is key and understand there are many other organisations with the same vision. We are all small pieces of the jigsaw that can contribute to transformational change, which is why we work with many external partners to achieve our vision.
Our Mission, ‘To inspire, lead, educate & support the delivery of sustainable, tailored programmes, empowering adults & children, through increased awareness and knowledge, to increase participation in healthy activities’, covers a broad range of offerings from providing competitive sporting opportunities to mental health first aid training and bespoke one-to-one support for individual staff. There is nothing we won’t try.
Our team is small, but rich in quality. We are all experienced teachers (with QTS) with a variety of skills ranging from EYFS to KS5 and from Gymnastics to Mental Health. We are passionate about the delivery of high quality physical education and work hard to achieve this aim.
All schools in Sutton benefit from our services. They all have access to School Games Competitions /programmes and networking opportunities. Some choose an enhanced package of support, some use us on an adhoc basis. For more information on our services and membership, click here
