We were due to hold a level 2 Sitting Volleyball festival on this day to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities, but this was unfortunately postponed due to rising levels of Covid.

Instead, I was very honoured to be invited to All Saints Benhilton to help them mark this day with taster sessions in 'sitting down' sports for Y1-6.

James Freeman, a Tokyo wheelchair paralympian, was the guest of honour who spoke during morning assembly and to each group as they came to try out their activities along with an opportunity for Q&A. Every class of children were extremely excited to meet their visitor and to try out the new activities.
