A Sutton borough development competition for Y3/4 Girls
ONE TEAM ENTRY PER SCHOOL
- Games will be 6 aside with a max squad of 9 girls
- Teams will be placed into groups of 4
- Each team will play each other once in a league format
- Games will be 8 minutes one way with no half time
- Kick-ins will be used instead of throw-ins. Corners and goal kicks are taken as normal and when the defending team are taking a goal kick, the opponents must retreat to the half way line
- Players may only enter the pitch under the instruction of the referee. School staff must signal to the referee if they wish to make a sub
- Teams will be awarded 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss
- If teams are equal on points at the end of the group stages, the final standings will be decided on: A) Goal Difference; B) Goals Scored; C)Head 2 Head; D) Penalties
- The top two teams from each group will progress to a Cup competition (semi-finals, 3rd/4th place play off & final)
- The bottom two teams in each group will progress to a Plate competition (semi-finals, 3rd/4th place play off & final)
- In the knock out stages, any games drawn at full time will go straight to penalties
